Tag Tuesday - Have a Heart

New Players- IMPORTANT - please remember to leave a comment when you post your art tag on Mr. Linky! It sends me an email that alerts me you have posted a tag!

Thank you everyone who did the Letter A tag! They were marvelous!

Today's tag requires a heart. You can draw it, add a 3-D one, stamp it, or anything else. Please make sure the heart is the focal point!

For my tag, I cut a tag shape from a collaged background I had made, stenciled red dots with ink, and added a key with a red heart dangling from it. Thin Gold leaf is added to the sides, with a strip of Dresden scrap with stars on the left. I had some small red cardboard game markers which I stamped with stars, and added them over some scraps of music and a sliver from an alcohol ink stained piece of acrylic. I added the stenciled numbers and a small old red tack head with a star embossed on the top.

REMINDER: I created a Facebook page for Tag Tuesday. I will admit right away that I am not sure exactly what I am doing, but here is the link. I would love for you to "like" the page and share it with your artist friends. I think you can upload your photos to the wall page. Anyway, we can try it out and see if it goes places!

Tag Tuesday - Letter A

New Players- IMPORTANT - please remember to leave a comment when you post your art tag on Mr. Linky! It sends me an email that alerts me you have posted a tag!

Last week's Vintage Photo tags were a treat to view!

Our tag this week will feature the letter A, and an image of something beginning with A. I know we all think of apple, but try to have an image of something else instead of apple! Let's see how many different ideas we can have for A!

I cut a tag out of a collaged sheet I made a while back, added a painted terra cotta clay angel to an altered round tag, used a letter A from Tim Holtz with some origami netting and some metallic trim. Purple ribbon tops it all off.

Also, I took Becky Garrison's suggestion and created a Facebook page for Tag Tuesday. I will admit right away that I am not sure exactly what I am doing, but here is the link. I would love for you to "like" the page and share it with your artist friends. I think you can upload your photos to the wall page. Anyway, we can try it out and see if it goes places!

Tag Tuesday - Vintage Photo

New Players- IMPORTANT - please remember to leave a comment when you post your art tag on Mr. Linky! It sends me an email that alerts me you have posted a tag!

Very creative postage stamp tags from last week!

This week we will use a vintage photo on our tag - it can be an original or a copy of one. If you don't have one, do a search on Google, there are many sites with free downloads. Design your tag with a vintage photo as the focal point.

The background for my tag is from the mixed media collage I made on Tyvek. I cut a tag size piece out then embossed a tree on it. I inked the tree to make it stand out, added the photo, used a Silver Leaf pen on the edges and then added some torn fusing material. The bottom piece of fusing material was dyed a pale violet.

Tag Tuesday - Postage Stamp

New Players- IMPORTANT - please remember to leave a comment when you post your art tag on Mr. Linky! It sends me an email that alerts me you have posted a tag!

Interesting faces from last week's challenge! Bravo!

This week the tag features a postage stamp. Pick a postage stamp of your choice and design your tag around it. It must be a real postage stamp!

My postage stamp has been around for awhile - it's only 8 cents! George Gershwin was a very famous composer of the 20th century and the materials on the tag show a musical influence and movement. His show tunes were pretty lively and kept the audience tapping their toes!

I'm a little discouraged because it seems our numbers are dwindling. I'm not sure if people are out on holiday, or busy with families, but I hope our number of players pick up soon!

Tag Tuesday - A Face

New Players- IMPORTANT - please remember to leave a comment when you post your art tag on Mr. Linky! It sends me an email that alerts me you have posted a tag!

Hooray for those of you who took the 10 Minute Tag challenge! For some it was easy, for others more difficult; always great to shake things up a bit!

Today we'll be doing a FACE tag. Make  a human FACE (male or female) the largest image and the focal point of your tag. Make the FACE stand out!

For my tag, I pulled out a rubber stamp I haven't used in quite a while, painted in some watercolors and used Spica pens for some glitter. There is gilt around the sides.
